Concealed Gun for Wife

Thanks for all the suggestions. She already has a Beretta Neos with a red dot and loves that but it isn't a good carry gun due to size and weight.

We're going to stop down the road at Quinby's and let her try some on for size and see where to go from there.

I appreciate all the suggestions. Thank you.

I'm not a huge fan of .22s for self defense but believe something is better than nothing. With that said, I have a Walther p22 you can let her try out. It's very easy to rack the slide. PM me if interested, and we'll meet up soon.

Thanks, Jason, we may take you up on your offer. First, we're going to try some larger calibers on for size and see if any feel good for her. Talk with you soon.

It's too bad my wife just sold her Glock 26, we could have let your wife try it. She loved that gun, and had no problem racking the side or pulling the trigger. She originally had a revolver, but traded it towards the 26 since the trigger pull was so heavy, even after having a trigger job done. Well anyway the Glock might still be in the used case at Tanners. I would highly recommend checking one out.

I used to have a little Beretta .25, but I don't recall which model it was. The slide was hard to pull back because of how small it was to grasp, but you didn't need to chamber a round that way. The barrel would pop up and you could insert a round there. It was a decent little pistol.

I just picked up a 38 special snubby for my wife. I just showed it to her last night. She was having a problem with the DA trigger pull. It worked with both index fingers though. I showed her how to cock the hammer and she preferred that much better. Just have to take her shooting with it.

LMAO! Nah...I'd need more than one gun for her. She's a keeper.

I didn't see anyone suggest the Sig P238. After much trial and error looking at different guns with/for my wife, she decided on the P238. I know its a little pricey but I think its the best shooting .380 out there. Its a single action, so a light trigger pull, and if you cock the hammer first there is very little resistance when racking the slide. It also doesnt beat you up when you shoot like so many other small guns, and yes I've owned a keltec PF9 and P32, and have shot friend's LCPs and LC9s.

Just my $.02
