How so? Besides not being able to open carry without a LTCF,(which most people have) what else changes?
My guidance counselor said I wouldn't amount to anything... Lucky guess! Dodgy

Long guns are included in the ban on unlicensed carry during a state of emergency too. Unlicensed carry is the last remaining "right". Concealed carry is always a privilege, as it requires government permission.

Got ya! I wasn't thinking along those lines. Glad to know I am not affected! Wink

Who the hell is Sandy, and when is (s)he arriving?

Does this have anything to do with the election in two weeks?
I'm only here for the 'Foxes with Firearms' thread.

If they take our guns, who will protect our children?

Hurricane/tropical storm Sandy. She's expected to arrive in PA in about two days.

Well, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Count me among those glad he did declare.

I understand the reasoning behind the declaration. The additional statute that restricts unlicensed carry for the duration is bullshit. There's absolutely no good reason for it.

Or the fact that he won't remove it, and will just let it expire on it's own.

What the fu....???? It's legal to preemtively declare a state of emergency???
For a category 1 hurricane? What the hell would happen if a category 3 was on the way Marshall Law?

I've sat through two tropical storm one of which was a category 1 when it made landfall which was about 10 miles from where I was living. For those who don't know there is a bunch of rain and a bunch of wind. Likelyhood of tornadoes in the hilly areas slim, not saying it couldn't happen but unlikely. Be prepare for flooding and down power lines. Other than that get your self some TP, a flashlight and a damn book.
