That's something I haven't figured out yet. I saw all kinds of people out yesterday and today cleaning up leaves in the grass. High winds are coming let the leaves just blow out of your yard. Wink

The Princess and I cleaned the gutters today...but not the yard.

Why bother, the 10 inches of rain will clean them out for you! Tongue

Depends, did they bag 'em or just pile 'em? Bagging leaves isn't a bad idea, less to clog storm inlets. I realize with the kind of water they say is coming that may be a moot point, but realistically it's a sound idea.

For PA hunters, this is another reason to get your License To Carry Firearms. In a declared state of emergency, you must be licensed to carry a long arm on public roads or on public property. The last SOE lasted 3 months for a couple days of rain. That would be the end of hunting season.

18 Pa.C.S. § 6107: Prohibited conduct during emergency
(a) General rule.--No person shall carry a firearm upon the public streets or upon any public property during an emergency proclaimed by a State or municipal governmental executive unless that person is:
(1) Actively engaged in a defense of that person's life or property from peril or threat.
(2) Licensed to carry firearms under section 6109 (relating to licenses) or is exempt from licensing under section 6106(b) (relating to firearms not to be carried without a license).
(b) Seizure, taking and confiscation.--Except as otherwise provided under subsection (a) and notwithstanding the provisions of 35 Pa.C.S. Ch. 73 (relating to Commonwealth services) or any other provision of law to the contrary, no firearm, accessory or ammunition may be seized, taken or confiscated during an emergency unless the seizure, taking or confiscation would be authorized absent the emergency.
© Definitions.--As used in this section, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this subsection:
"Accessory." Any scope, sight, bipod, sling, light, magazine, clip or other related item that is attached to or necessary for the operation of a firearm.
"Firearm." The term includes any weapon that is designed to or may readily be converted to expel any projectile by the action of an explosive or the frame or receiver of any weapon.

I know this is relating to our 2A rights. But I saw posted on FB someone mentioning about HAVING to obey the lowered speed limits and you are not allowed to drive??????????????? I cant find anything on it.

You get tickets for it. They don't physically prevent you from driving.

In Corbett's proclamation he leaves it up to the state police. He would not put a restriction to drive in the SOE.
A SOE does not mean you can not drive. As some people think. If it did, no one would have been allowed to drive for half a year last year.

Not sure where to look for state police "orders".
The Second Amendment does not GIVE us the right. It tells the gov they can not infringe our right.

Exactly! I heard the same thing on the radio yesterday morning and scratched my head. PA has almost constantly been in a state of emergency during 2012. If it was illegal to drive, most people would a) not own their vehicles anymore and b) be in better shape from walking everywhere.

I think this miss-conception exists because people hear: "A state of emergency has been declared. Residents are urged to stay indoors and do not drive unless it is absolutely necessary" and assume the second sentence is as a direct result of the first and not precipitated by the event that caused the SoE to begin with.

The entire state of Pennsylvania is now under a declared state of emergency because of a truck fire?

What the fuck? Huh
