Is this the "other lawful uses" we've been hoping for?

Not really...it was ok cause the kiddies weren't there, and he was on official school board business, etc....Anim_doh......

Quote:He said no criminal charges are warranted because Grupp was visiting the school to look over a construction project, the school district was still on summer vacation and there no students there at the time.

God forbid they see a firearm in a good light, it would ruin their whole "Guns are bad" speech.

FYI the "lawful purposes" clause has already been tested, and it works.

True. Then again neither will this, since no charges were filed.

I'm curious about this comment.

Quote:Heckler said his decision might have been different if school had been in session when the incident occurred.

"In that case, the analysis would be different but under these circumstances, the fact he had a gun is somewhat incidental because he's licensed to carry it anywhere in the commonwealth," Heckler said.

Well...Heckler is the one who passed on charging the 3 LEOs who shot and killed the handcuffed man in Sellersville.
So this is kinda like kindergarten.

I would like to see where in the law it distinguishes between summer and the school year and whether students are present or not.
Everytime we look the other way when someone else loses rights we disagree with, we make it easier to lose the rights we support.

Is Heckler handing out free passes on election day?

As far as I know, it doesn't.
