Cross fit classes..
#1
They have an onsite gym where I work, and offer cross-training classes.

For those that don't know what they are, it is basically circuit training where there are different stations setup. At each station you work on either cardio or weights, or a combination of both. Its an hour long class, usually there are six stations and you spend about a minute at each station before moving on to the next one, so in the course of an hour you go through the circuit about 4 times.

Even though you set your own pace, they are rather tough. Some co-workers started dragging me to these back in the fall. At first I could just barely make it through 2 circuits before I felt like I was dying...I can make it through all 4 circuits now, but really have to push myself to do so.

They are great classes, if anyone is looking to get more fit, this is a great way to do so.

Yes it is. And it can be great fun, too, especially if the group is pretty fit on average and the instructor and participants have a good sense of humor.

I was in one for a while that I began to call "Romper Room." We had a lot of fun, sweated like pigs, and the hour flew by.
