One problem... I have no clue since I just moved here 9 months ago or so and won't be renewing for quite some time. I'll look into it though.

No problem, maybe someone else from the county can help. Not looking for judgments about the sheriff, just real life experience and what to expect when applying for a LTCF.

As we know, even though the process across the state is supposed to be uniform, it's not.

Morning folks,
I just joined and saw this thread and hoped I could be of assistance in regards to obtaining a LTCF in Cumberland county.
The process was fairly straightforward. I went to the courthouse in Carlisle (1 Courthouse Sq, room 303) and filled out the application right there. A woman photocopied my DL and accepted my full payment of $20, then took my picture. I received a postcard in the mail 5 weeks and 1 day later indicating my approval. I returned to the courthouse and was given my laminated license. The wait time seemed long (Dauphin county is 2 weeks at this time), but the process was simple and I encounter no issues.
Hope this is helpful (and not too long-winded lol).
Take care,
Jason

P.S. The courthouse is open until 4:30 on weekdays. I despise "city parking" but around 4 it wasn't so bad.
