Delaware Senate Bill 37 (AWB)
#1
You guys in PA keep your guard up. It looks like we're about to get fucked harder in DE... It looks like this SB 37 is going to rear it's ugly head any day now.

I like how pistols that have threaded barrels are banned now....even if you don't actually have the suppressor...Rolleyes

It just makes you want to scream. If they ram this through they are saying that you will be required to show "proof of ownership" (because you know nobody owns heirloom or FTF guns!) of said "assault weapons" to Delaware State Police within 120 days of the bill's passing. And then there is another provision going through that says they totally are not allowed to require registration...

WTF?!?!?!?!!?!!?

You Delaware boys stay thirsty, my friend. I live mere minutes from the Diamond state border and have my FL License specifically to carry there.

With Slow Joe's spawn installed as AG and the generally blueness of the state dominated by the democratic bastion of New Castle County and the city of Wilmington, it's a constant uphill slog for the cause of liberty down there.

I served in the DEANG and lament the tyrannical leanings of the state I once swore to protect and defend.

I rather like this one that the city of Wilmington is trying to introduce too...Apparently they are unaware of their own state's preemption law. It amazes me they don't either look this shit up themselves or have a lawyer on staff they can run stuff by before they propose it. Rolleyes

Quote:Title 11, Chapter 1, General Provisions.
Municipal Firearms Preemption
§ 111. Limitation on firearm regulations.
The municipal governments shall enact no law, ordinance or regulation prohibiting, restricting or licensing the ownership, transfer, possession or transportation of firearms or components of firearms or ammunition except that the discharge of a firearm may be regulated; provided any law, ordinance or regulation incorporates the justification defenses as found in [tit. 11, §§ 461-471]. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to invalidate municipal ordinances existing before July 4, 1985, and any ordinance enacted after July 4, 1985, is hereby repealed. Notwithstanding the provisions of this section to the contrary, the City of Wilmington may, in addition to the nature and extent of regulation permitted by this section, enact any law or ordinance governing the possession or concealment of a paintball gun within its corporate limits as it deems necessary to protect the public safety.
