Quote:Two students were shot Friday afternoon at a North Philadelphia high school.

Investigators said the shooting took place shortly before 3:30 p.m. inside the gymnasium of the Delaware Valley Charter High School, located at 5201 Old York Rd. in Logan.

Two students - one male and one female - were struck once each in the arm and taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center.

The victims, both aged 15, were hospitalized in stable condition. A total of seven students were inside the gym at the time of the shooting, according to officials.

A male suspect was seen fleeing the school on foot, according to authorities.

Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said at a news conference officers tracked down the alleged gunman outside his home on the 2200 block of South Bucknell Street in Girard Park and took him into custody.

Ramsey said the weapon was not yet recovered, and police were searching the school to see if the gun was stashed somewhere inside.

LOGAN - January 17, 2014 (WPVI) -- Two students are in custody and police are now looking for one more following a shooting at a school in the Logan section of Philadelphia that left two other students wounded.

The shooting happened inside a gymnasium at the Delaware Valley Charter School located at 5201 Old York Road around 3:30 p.m. Friday as a group of about seven students were apparently hanging out.

Two students, at 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, were shot in the arm. Both victims were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.
The female victim has since been discharged from the hospital.

A friend of the girl who was shot talked to her just moments after the shooting.

"We were just in the bathroom and our friend she just came in the bathroom saying her arm, her arm. There was just a lot of blood gushing out. She was saying she heard a loud boom in the gym room and she looked up her and her boyfriend's arm had been hit," that friend said.

After the shooting, the three suspects immediately fled the scene, Commissioner Charles Ramsey said.

One of the students was captured in the 2200 block of Bucknell, not far from his home, police said.

A second suspect later turned himself into authorities.

The third suspect remains at large. However, police say, they know who the suspect is and where the student lives.

Police are not sure which of the three students pulled the trigger. No gun has been recovered.

Ramsey also said surveillance video captured the shooting, and that video is being examined. He said it was not clear from the video whether the shooting was intentional or accidental.

Ramsey didn't know what staffing or security procedures were in place at the school but said "there was a breakdown in security of some kind" because the gun got into the building.

The school was placed on lockdown and secured by SWAT officers checking each room. Students were searched and released one by one.

Philadelphia police told parents to go to a staging location, not the school, to pick up their children.

So they think the gun went off "accidentally" twice or are we dealing with a single bullet theory?
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.
