Can you be more specific and provide a link as well?

Just my own personal posts, I can't provide a link really. It's just that if I go to try to delete any post I've made, it says I don't have permission to do so.

For example, I just tried to delete this post but got this;

You do not have permission to access this page. This could be because of one of the following reasons:

Your account has either been suspended or you have been banned from accessing this resource.
You do not have permission to access this page. Are you trying to access administrative pages or a resource that you shouldn't be? Check in the forum rules that you are allowed to perform this action.
Your account may still be awaiting activation or moderation. (Resend Activation Code)
You have accessed this page directly rather than using appropriate forms or link.

I was going to ask about that last week. There was an option to delete, then it was gone. It was there again and now it's gone again.
It was handy to use if you wanted to edit a post and not have the edited by ... at ... at the top of the post, just rewrite it it in word, delete the original and paste the edit into a replacement post to make it look like a virgin post.

If it has to stay gone is there a way to give a window to edit a post before the edited note appears at the top? Maybe a minute or three? I find myself wanting to correct grammar or spelling quite often, even after clicking the "Preview Post" button and thinking it's OK only to find out that even with spell check and my superior intellect Dodgy I've still had mistakes slip past me.

^^^ That's what I was trying to use it for today. I made a post that I just wanted to re-do, instead I had to edit it then state that I edited it later for clarification.

I usually find things that I'd like to correct no matter how thoroughly I think I proof read it. A window of a minute or two to edit without the "Look at the dummy" header would be nice, the delete option was nicer because it didn't appear to impose a time limit.

LMFAO could be, but I "check the box" like it says..., so what I'm doing wrong, I don't know.

Gotcha. This was done to prevent users from removing all of their posts as they leave in a huff, causing a mess in the process. The same thing can still be done via the 'edit' process, but it takes more work, which hopefully will discourage the practice. If there's something that legitimately needs deleted for some reason, someone on staff can handle it, but for the reasons you're describing, you'll just have to edit the post. Having the 'edited' tag at the bottom is not a big deal....really!
