Dem. governor candidates--any hope?
#1
We all hear the news reports about how Gov. Corbett's approval ratings are low. I know it has a lot to do with all of his policies, but of course up here we're worried about gun rights as much as any other. So if he's going to have a hard fight in the fall to keep his governorship and we have to look at the possibility of a Democrat back in the the mansion, are any of the candidates currently in the field in any way pro-gun rights or at least neutral towards gun rights? I know that we're probably not going to see a shake-up in the legislature so any rabid anti-gun governor would have a hard time getting anything passed but are any if them better than the rest WRT guns?

Has anyone up here held their nose long enough to review the positions expressed by the Democrat candidates towards gun rights so we would have a feel for how they would be graded?

Thanks.

It probably is bad that he said something like "no one needs a gun like that" in reference to an ar-15 after sandy hook.

Hopefully the dreadful approval ratings on the National level of Democrats helps elect State Reps and state Senate that's conservative. Hopefully if that happens they'll fight the opposition in office...meaning a radical Marxist voted in as Governor. If we lose the House and Senate, then it's time for "we the people" to draw line and not let the government take anymore from us!

Living in Philly, it doesn't matter if Corbett was the best governor PA ever had. The Philly media would still complain about him regardless. For those of you outside SE PA (specifically Philly, Bucks Co, Chester, Co, Mountgomery Co, and Delaware Co), what is the sentiment about Corbett?

Living out here in the nw corner of Susco we get virtually NO news, political or otherwise, of the goings on in Philly, Harrisburg or Pitt and we barely hear anything from Scranton -Wilkes Barre (I get so sick of seeing reporting on high school football games its hard to watch the S-WB news).

Personally I've never heard of a Democrat politician that was truly pro-gun. But in my opinion, if you want to keep Pa reasonably safe for our rights as they are now, DO NOT let the Dems get the majority in the General Assembly!
