Dem Lawmakers Exploit Belcher Murder-Suicide to Push Gun Control
#1
They've been salivating for something "good" to happen.

Democrats are experts at using singular incidents to demagogue issues, and with the murder-suicide of Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, they are having a field day attacking gun owners.

Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) ripped Congress for “doing nothing to protect our families and our society” from gun violence, screeching:

With the senseless tragedy in Kansas City this weekend, once again, gun violence finds its way onto our nation’s front pages; and once again we hear the same stale arguments from both sides of the political spectrum. It’s clear these old arguments are doing nothing to protect our families and our society, so I urge our nation to come together and change the conversation.

DeGette was joined by Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.), Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.), and Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.) in pushing for legislation to control guns.

DeGette introduced legislation in August that would limit a person’s ability to anonymously purchase ammunition on the Web and would require sellers of ammunition to report bulk sales, making her claims of impartial indignation over the issue of gun control hard to swallow:

Both parties have abdicated responsibility for doing anything about gun violence in this country because of political concerns and an unwillingness to make tough choices and risky decisions. While those motivations sadly permeate much of the politics in Washington, in this case, it is actually a matter of life and death.

In this case, it didn’t matter. Does she really believe that an NFL linebacker who wanted to kill his girlfriend and himself couldn’t have used virtually anything to do the job?

You are mixing logic and liberals, they are like water and oil, it'll never happen.
