DEVELOPING: Obama recess appointments unconstitutional, court
#1
Quote:A federal appeals court has overturned President Obama’s controversial recess appointments from last year, arguing he abused his powers and acted when the Senate was not actually in a recess.

The three-judge panel’s ruling is a major blow to Mr. Obama. The judges ruled that the appointments Mr. Obama made to the National Labor Relations Board are illegal, and the board no longer has a quorum to operate.

But the ruling has even broader constitutional significance, with the judges arguing that the president’s recess appointment powers don’t apply to “intrasession” appointments — those made when Congress has left town for a few days or weeks.

Damn! You mean our Constitutional Scholar in the oval office screwed the pooch again with his interpretation of the constitution? Hey Barry, have you heard of this guy Jefferson? He said this;
Quote:"On every question of construction (of the Constitution) let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.”, Letter to William Johnson, June 12, 1823

What does he mean he disagrees with the court? Is he insane? First he tries to circumvent Congress, and now he's going to disagree with the Courts?

Ok. Impeach him. Now. He has clearly shown complete disregard for the CotUS and its checks and balances, which violates his oath of office, making his oath - sworn twice - an immoral action (intentional lie to deceive the American public). Add to that his other offenses against the CotUS and I really don't know why he hasn't been impeached yet.*

*Ok, I know politics is why, but I hope you get the point...
