DHS has guns and ammo, now it comes to the mass fatality planning
#1
So:
federal forces, not restricted by any laws - check;
armored personnel carries - check;
1 billion rounds of ammo - check;

What's missing? Oh, right... an aftermath management. Not any more:

We all know what .guv just bought.

A bunch of level IIIA check points that can be defeated by certain known rounds and calibers, and a bunch of .40 caliber ammo that cannot defeat even level IIA armor.

Hmmm.

No one thought Obama would sign a lot of the bills he did. Even his own supporters were stunned and dismayed.

I would not discount anything.

He can't sign it if it has no chance of getting to him. It hasn't even gotten past the committee stage. It's like panicking over Saiga 12 shotguns because of a recommendation to do a study about the sporting uses of them. Nothing has happened and it's chances of happening are as near zero as you can get.

While that is accurate for the time being, if the Dems win back the house it could be queued up right away. Nancy does like to bull certain types of bills through.

Yet it clearly reveals Big Brother's train of thoughts.

I get the whole " dont worry " mindset. And there is at least some level of validity to that. None of us want to be labeled , the " Boy who Cried Wolf" . BUT, as far as Im concerned, the issue isnt so much whether or not such a bill could see the light of day. And there are plenty of ways I can think of such a thing could come to pass. The alarming thing is, as another poster pointed out, the mindset that is the genesis of such a bill.

THAT is what should scare the shit out of everyone. I've been saying for awhile now that taken as individual events, the massive ammo purchases, the armored checkpoint booths, the MRAP's ,etc can all be easily dismissed as tin foil hattery, which, ironically is exactly what they want.

But take the individual pieces, put them all together and the picture that results should be terrifying in its implications. Not just because of what it portends could happen, but what it says about the mindset of our so called "leaders".

I honestly believe that we are already, as in right fucking now, over the "Financial Cliff" and we simply havent hit bottom yet. And those in power know this to be the case and are preparing for the day when everything finally does come crashing down around them.

Not necessarily referring to any specific person here, but those that dismissively wave a " dont worry " hand at stuff like this, seem to me at least, to be in some sort of denial to an extent. Remarkably enough sharing the " it cant happen here" mindset of the violent crime victims we all see on TV and roundly ridicule for their naive' state of mind and world view.
