This is getting a little creepy.
According to one estimate, since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm.

DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP).

Don't worry, I'm sure someone will be along to say that this recent purchase is perfectly normal. Something that they do all the time. They probably purchased so many because that way they lock in the price.

It was very nice of the guy in the video to point out all the weak points in the system, even though he didn't realize it. The gun ports look about 4" in diameter which should be easy to hit from within 100 yards, or much further if you have an experienced sniper. Also the glass can stop up to a 50 cal round but I'm betting that's only FMJ, an AP round should go right through it. Also it can probably only stop a 50 cal FMJ round once; two shots should get right through it.

Which is why they are desperate to ban the .50.

Also, MRAPS are what... $500-750K each? Wow, but let all the criminal illegals out on the streets. I think it is very clear that those in power are preparing to launch an assault on the citizenry.

And this is exactly what happens when we send money to various agencies that they need to spend.

Quote:The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.

Although I’ve seen and read several online blurbs about this vehicle of late, I decided to dig slightly deeper and discover more about the vehicle itself.

The new DHS sanctioned ‘Street Sweeper’ (my own slang due to the gun ports) is built by Navistar Defense (NavistarDefense.com), a division within the Navistar organization. Under the Navistar umbrella are several other companies including International Trucks, IC Bus (they make school buses), Monaco RV (recreational vehicles), WorkHorse (they make chassis), MaxxForce (diesel engines), and Navistar Financial (the money arm of the company).

I don't know why Congress and the President couldn't agree on sequester cuts. These things would be on the top of my list. Next, we'll cut back on drones and bulk ammo purchases.
