Those damn short guns just don't fit right in a regular gun safe rack! Behold the power of velcro. Big Grin

Nice.

Do those straps go through the door covering to attach securely as opposed to just sticking to the fuzzy fabric?

The inside panel of the door is 1/2" drywall, covered in the speaker carpeting stuff. I used drywall anchors and fender washers to attach the velcro straps to the panel. Those guns are going nowhere. Big Grin

Oh yeah, and if anyone is thinking about trying to steal my safe, have fun with those 5/8" by 6 inch sleeve anchors going into the concrete slab. Cool

Very nice. First time I've seen the velcro straps, I've been looking at various door hanging methods lately.

Haven't you made a drop leg holster for that shotgun yet?

Not yet. I'm thinking about doing something to work with my Blackhawk cowboy rig. Or some sort of sheath that draws from the back, ninja style. I need to consult with the tacti-cool cowboys out there. Where's Valorious?

Watch the Mummy Returns. Brendan Frasier has a back holster for a shotgun just like that. He draws the gun from it during the pigmy ninja scene.

looks nice. sometimes I wish my safe had something covering the inside of the door, but it has 2 or 3 built-in shelves in the door.

Modify it. You can do anything with enough motivation and a small amount of skill. In fact, the only way I was able to fit those three guns was by lowering the gun rack that's built into the door. And now that rack fits short guns (like AR15's with the stock collapsed) better.
