Do you think he will leave office? I wonder.
A gun rack in a pick-up is not for holding guns. Its a place for women to hold on to. Smile

He doesn't have a choice, so, yes.

Hypothetically lets say that the 22nd amendment is repealed. Will Obama follow in Washington's steps and voluntarily leave office after his two terms?

It won't be.

I believe if the 22nd Amendment is repealed, it would still apply to Obama. The 22nd Amendment was ratified during Trumans term but did not apply to him. He could have kept running.

As for the 22nd Amendment being repealed, I doubt it'll happen. There have been attempts at repealing it since Reagan was in office. And don't forget, 38 states have to ratify it before it becomes law. I don't see more than 10 or 15 states tops going for it.

The ratification process would take longer than his term anyway.

This is where the "nut" in "gun nut" comes from, by the way. Smile

Even though I supported Obama for his first term, because the alternative was just worse in my opinion, I don't know if waiting until 2016 is such a good idea.

Really?

What was it that took the luster off of him for you? Very interesting.

There never was any luster at all. In my opinion Obama was the lesser evil in 2008. McCain just reminded me too much of those people, who thought it'd be a good idea to deploy all those Pershings and SS20s next to my home in the mid-80's. That's why I put my money against McCain in 2008. I simply didn't like the idea of yet another war.

There was no choice at all in 2012, so I kept my money to myself in anticipation of increases in taxes and other burdens. I'm in the income bracket that loses either way, so there wasn't any point in supporting one or the other.
