Dried Strawberries

Does anyone know where to get dried/dehydrated strawberries? I have searched Giant Eagle, Shop & Save, etc...

I like strawberries in my Cheerio's but finding fresh produce during the winter months gets rough and expensive!

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

If you don't have a dehydrator, get one. I got one from Cableas for like 20 bucks.

Hmmm... $5.99 per lb for freeze-dried strawberries is not a bad price.

What is better...dried or freeze dried? I want to add them to cereal just like Special K Strawberry cereal has.

ETA...looks like Freeze Dried! The dried ones are chewy and have sugar added.

Freeze Dries is $5.99 for 2oz! I wonder how much is in a 2oz container?

Quote:Ingredients

Strawberries

Packaged in the same facility as peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and milk products.

Approximately 1050 pieces per pound.

ID: 1601

130ish pieces for 2 oz.

Have you ever tried a Mennonite bulk foods store?
I know they have them at the one we go to.
