I've ordered stuff from Augason farms, and while Walmart many times appears to have it cheaper, you still have to pay shipping. I order from Augason when they're running deals with free shipping when you order a certain amount.

So in reality, I guess it's a wash on somethings, but other things, you can get on sale for cheaper than Walmart carries it.

Yeah, Augason's free shipping threshold was $99...Wal-mart's was $50. I just paid the shipping as I just wanted a small amount to try first. If I like them, I'll order straight from the Farms with a bigger order and get the free shipping. I might try some of their other freeze dries offerings also!

A Reading from the Book of Armaments, Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Never heard of them. How do they compare with the others like Mountain House? I also did not see self life listed.

We do the very same - making our own version of the Special K so are always looking for new sources.

Sometimes their free shipping threshold is $50, that's generally when we order stuff. I do need to get an order together, I need more Dough Enhancer.

Well, that's interesting.

I can't eat corn flakes, cheerios, or other "blah" cereals without fruit.

Hmmmmm...

Try Special K with Berries if you want to sample freeze dried strawberries in cereal! I love it but I prefer Honey Nut Cheerio's with fruit much more!

Aldi's cereal brand has a similar cereal with freeze-dried berries that I like even better. The cereal flakes are crunchier and don't get soggy as quickly. They are also a tad sweeter, like Honey-Nut cheerios.
