East Cleveland Police unload 137 bullets into UNARMED suspect ...

Don't remember seeing this here, kind of surprised no one posted it.

November, 2012

Quote:EAST CLEVELAND, OH -- Two unarmed suspects were slain by police officers after a 25-minute pursuit. At the conclusion of the chase, which may have included up to 50 police vehicles, 13 officers drew their weapons and unloaded at least 137 rounds in to the suspects' Chevy Malibu. No weapons were found, and there was no evidence of return fire. The police were so violent and so reckless that they even shot up their own cruisers with friendly fire

Jesus Christ...

Not really sure who's at fault here: the police, for being trigger happy animals or the suspects, for leading trigger happy cops on a high speed chase? I always avoid getting shot by cops by PULLING OVER when they flash me.

This is just shitty all around.

The only way to stop bad-guys with no guns are 137 bullets from 10 "good-guys" guns! Moral of the story: Don't shoot at the police if you want to live...and pull over.

Fixed it for you. Big Grin

I've other reports stating 115 cops (cars or cops? Blues Brothers anyone?) and so much lead flying that the bumbling morons even shot their own cars.

Who knows, maybe they thought they were in liberal, gun-hater movie. Dodgy

From an ex police/fire/ambulance dispatcher I believe this is 100% police fault.
Now, I would love to hear what they are not telling the public.
But, think about it.
13 police officers and 137 rounds = 10+ per officer.
I believe most likely these two were the ones that fired on the police and ditched the firearm during the chase.
But to unload like that into a car with two human beings that were obviously not shooting back at that point due to the lack of a firearm found.
So you chase this car and you get it stopped - what prompted this official barrage of bullets?

They would not get out?
Were they told to or was if shoot first and ask questions later?

Anybody here remember the show "Alf"?
Alf said to someone that if his Uncle did not like your shoes - then Alf pointed his finger at the guy and made a gun like sound.
The person said: "If your Uncle did not like your shoes he would shot you?"
Alf said no he wouldn't - he would point his finger at you and make that sound.
Is this what happened to those police officers?
At this point was there actually shots fired at them?
My opinion is there needs to be some serious punishment doled out here because we trust these people to keep their heads under pressure and it does not sound like these 13 are capable of doing so.
And we are not to protect ourselves - we are to call these guys over to the house in a crisis.
Does the official crisis begin before or after they arrive on the scene?

There is a saying about fish in a barrel.
Or, if you live in Cleveland, civilians in a car!

If I shot and killed someone unarmed would that be murder?

Just a thought.

God bless!!
