Email: Obama Regime To Make Sequester As Painful As Promised…
#1
Quote:The Obama administration denied an appeal for flexibility in lessening the sequester’s effects, with an email this week appearing to show officials in Washington that because they already had promised the cuts would be devastating, they now have to follow through on that.

In the email sent Monday by Charles Brown, an official with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service office in Raleigh, N.C., Mr. Brown asked “if there was any latitude” in how to spread the sequester cuts across the region to lessen the impacts on fish inspections.

He said he was discouraged by officials in Washington, who gave him this reply: “We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be.”

“This email confirms what many Americans have suspected: The Obama administration is doing everything they can to make sure their worst predictions come true and to maximize the pain of the Sequester cuts for political gain,” said Rep. Tim Griffin, Arkansas Republican.

please........it's ALL propaganda. the amount of money the sequester forces in cuts is almost next to nothing compared to the amount of money the government spends.

We know this...but the point is that even though the amount is MINISCULE, the goal is to make as many people scream and cry as possible.

To put it in office life perspective, it's like the company can no longer afford to buy the obligatory case of Fresca for the office break room, but because the office manager likes having one of those sodas on the very rare occasion, they will be turning off the Air Conditioning to the building in order to draw attention to how the budget is cut in hopes of getting people on their side to bring back the spending to where they like so the office manager can order the Fresca nobody really drinks anyway, but is 'nice' to have in stock.

oh, no doubt and I agree with you 100%.

basically the president is trying to scare people into accepting more government spending to either a) reverse the sequester or b) allow for a more funding in the near future.

He's sending more to Egypt and spending more on other things and purposely taking money from the "homefront" to make his own warped point.

What an evil man.

I can't believe he hasn't been impeached yet. Wait...yes, I can.... :-(
