FBI: More People Killed with Hammers, Clubs Each Year than Rifles

According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle.

This is an interesting fact, particularly amid the Democrats' feverish push to ban many different rifles, ostensibly to keep us safe of course.

However, it appears the zeal of Sens. like Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) is misdirected. For in looking at the FBI numbers from 2005 to 2011, the number of murders by hammers and clubs consistently exceeds the number of murders committed with a rifle.

Think about it: In 2005, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 445, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 605. In 2006, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 438, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 618.

Come on dude, don't distract the sheep from their masters' agenda by introducing facts. You'll only confuse them even more. Their tiny brains can't handle facts or sound logic.

However, using their own statistics, you could say gun crime is decreasing in the US, even after the AWB expired.

And each day in the USA, a gun is used 4100 times in an act of defense. That is 1.5 million DGUs (defensive gun uses) a year. That is reported by the DoJ, back in 1997 and based on 1994 data.

Some people estimate that it is much higher now because the population is greater and gun ownership is much higher. But even if it is the same, 1.5 million uses a year whereby most people reported that if they did not have a weapon, they probably would have been killed. That is huge.

Reporting that side doesn't forward their agenda. What they report is not a lie - it's a 1/2 truth and an omission.

It is a little known fact that the only reason Jesus gave up carpentry was because of Roman hammer control laws.

Don't forget that they lump police shootings in with those stats as well to inflate the numbers.
