Not Just For Conspiracy Theorists Anymore: Fear Of Federal Government Goes Mainstream
INTERESTING READ. THOUGHTS ON THIS?
April 18, 2014 by Sam Rolley

More than half of Americans view the Federal government as a major threat to individual liberty and a growing number express outright fear of the Nation’s governing apparatus. http://personalliberty.com/just-conspira...ainstream/

These people are morons, the people writing the article..

Let's look

Quote:According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 37 percent of likely U.S. voters say that they are afraid of the Federal government and 54 percent say that it is a threat to individual liberty. That’s compared to 47 percent who don’t fear the government, 17 percent who aren’t sure and 22 percent who feel government protects their liberty.

Quote:Support for the 2nd Amendment may have some bearing on how Americans feel about the Nation’s political leaders, as 42 percent of gun owners expressed fear of the government compared to 30 percent of people who do not own guns.

Did you spot what must be wrong here?

If they are surmising from the 54% in the first paragraph is the same "fear" and the topic in the second then there would have to be another group of people in the second paragraph to make up the difference because 42% of one group and 30% of another without a third group cannot and will never equal 54% of everyone! That being said i've seen some really shitty work from gallup and Rasmussen . They fielded a question that went like this "do you or do you not believe X" with the answer key being "yes" or "no" . You cannot do that. You can ask "do you believe x" with and answer key of "yes" or "no" you can ask "do you or do you not believe X" with an answer key of " I do not believe X" "I do believe X"

Youre absolutely right Excel but we all know these polls can and mostly are
skewed to get the answers they want. Bad math on their part.

You have to compare the 42 and 30 to the 37% from the first paragraph. fear of govt and govt being a threat to individual liberty are 2 different things. At least that's how I read it

What I find interesting is 54 percent of people think the gov is a threat to our rights while only 37 percent are afraid of them. Does this mean the other 17% are the ones that drove to defend the buddy ranch?

There must be something to it.
All the prepper tv shows wouldn't be around if there wasn't sufficient interest. Now AMC's Turn......If there is money to be made it means people are paying attention. Even if only for a short time. There is definitely an awareness out there. Probably not in the cities, but in the rural country things are getting weird.
