That data is from 2003-4

Unemployment was 5.5% then. It has been over 7.8% for the last four years. Much higher for minorities.

Food stamps are at an all time high, SS disability claims are at an all time high. Federal debt and deficits are at an all time high.

What would be interesting is to see more recent data to compare to the historical norms.

The data is stale, it's true, but I expect the distribution wouldn't likely change, dramatically. I would like to see current numbers, too, but the larger, underlying, point is that there are millions who pay no income tax, and the vast majority of them are not in violation of the law for so doing.

And, they vote.
