Warminster standoff suspect wants look at cop's record

Quote:Harold was one of numerous officers who responded to the Street Road apartment complex after Cairns’ girlfriend, Deborah Silva, called 911 to report that he was suicidal and shooting a handgun out their bedroom window.
Harold mistakenly believed Zienkewicz was Cairns when he shot her, prosecutors said.
It was the second time Harold had been involved in the fatal shooting of a civilian. In March 2006, he was one of four officers identified in court records as the cops who shot and killed 21-year-old Sean Sullivan of Warminster.

Finally, someone's asking questions about the officer's shooting of an 89-year-old lady.

WTF. I hope the suicidal guy is found not guilty AND the officer does some major jail time....

2006? There was one a lot more recent than this.

Yes; 2006 was the officer's prior incident. The most recent one was just a few months back, where the senior citizen was killed for the crime of looking out her front door when the actual suspect was holed up in the apartment above hers.

Why should the suicidal guy be found not guilty?

That's what I thought. I must've been misreading the topic. Tongue

The way this looks to me, the officer blatantly screwed up. If this were different (victim was a human shield, etc.) I might feel different. Instread, I see a trigger-happy cop who shot when he shouldn't have. It's not the other guy's fault one of the officers were trigger happy, and I don't buy the prosecutors arguments as applied to this case. I mean look at this from the defendant's perspective.
