Fingerprinting + PA State Police
#1
So it looks like PASP has determined that they will indeed do fingerprinting for out-of-state carry permits with the provision that:

Quote:1For out-of-state License-to-Carry fingerprint requests, the PSP will fingerprint only if the request requires law enforcement to process the applicant and the
individual resides in a PSP service area.

Sounds like a service, which is a good thing, so long as it doesn't become a requirement.

When I was trying to get my AZ I spent a month trying to get somebody from Hazleton PSP Barracks to call me back. They said there was only one person in the building that could do it and he always seemed to be sick or on vacation. I finally went to a local PD one town over and the nightshift guy did it for free no hassle.
The law? The law is a human institution...

The key here is the PSP being your "local" police.

DELCO PSP and the Belmont barracks PSP in Philly both refused me when I first got my Utah 6 1/2 years ago. Ended up at the CHESCO Sheriff who was more than happy to take care of them for me.

I live in DELCO but my town has it's own PD who said they only print for employment purposes.

What's a town PD? What's a town? Where is Drumore anyway? :-) as Duck Commander,Phil Robertson would say, "Out here, I am 9-1-1!"
