Anybody know where I can get an affordable black powder replica Civil War rifle? I'd prefer a Richmond or Enfield, but honestly any model doesn't matter.

go to gun auction.com in the black powder section they have some listed. the 2 you are after are in the $800 and up range.
the 1863 Remington will be the cheapest repro to find. you do want one made by Antonio Zoli. they have the best barrels. go to gun auction.com in the black powder section they have some listed. the 2 you are after are in the $800 and up range. the 1863 Remington will be the cheapest repro to find. you do want one made by Antonio Zoli. they have the best barrels.

I want something that can be a future wall hanger, but something I can also shoot too. If I can't find something like that at a reasonable price, then I'll be fine with just a wall hanger.

You wouldn't be able to run as many people over with that car if it didn't drive as far. It should only have a 10 gallon fuel tank.

I'm here from the future to ask the OP (who posted in the past) if he's presently still looking to move forward with this quest in the future.
Unless he's already done so - which would have been in the past for those trying to keep up.

Thank you, but this project is on the "back burner" right now. I think my next gun related purchase is going to be a 24 gun safe. I have to wait until my garage gets cleaned first, and my father and I aren't doing that until the Spring/Summer. My girlfriend's family also got me hooked on collecting civil war relics, so some of my money has been going towards that too. ![]() ![]() |
