Hell yeah. My grandparents lived right on the bay across from Seaside, NJ. I loved spending the summers down there in the 80s. All the great planes that were coming out of McGuire AFB were cool to see.

Yea, if we start seeing C5's flying sorties in the Appalachians, THAT'S when we should be really concerned!

When I was guarding them in Germany we called them Snoopy or FRED. FRED means Freaking Ridiculous Economic Disaster. I think the connotation with Snoopy is pretty apparent if you've ever seen one open it's front loading bay.

They must be a sight to behold, they must be one of the biggest aircraft in the world. Well short of that Russian monster.

When I was with FRED they were the largest, the Soviets didn't come out with theirs for quite some time after I got to Germany.

These videos don't do it justice but here are a few examples. See the difference in the c17?

Here's another, only because I get a hard on for this shit being an air force brat. My ol' man was a flight engineer on c5's in the AF so I learned all about them growing up. Hell, I was even born on an AFB. Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage Alaska to be exact.

Enjoy!

It's amazing these fuckers can even stay in the air! When you see them in the sky they don't appear to be moving at all!

I have my volume muted almost all the time, so I never know if there's music on videos or not.

PA ANG has them too. based at HIA and FT INDIANTOWN GAP

The ones in the area he's talking about are wrapped in USMC colors.

The best is seeing A-10s near Freidens or the occassional Longbow overhead.
