FOAC Spring 2015 Gun Bash, my results
As you may know, FOAC (Firearm Owners Against Crime) holds a gun bash twice a year to raise the money we need to fight the fight. This bash, the $50 ticket got you in the door to an all you can eat prime rib, BBQ chicken, pulled pork and all the fixins' buffet, a 21 gun giveaway (very nice guns BTW), a S&W M&P15-22 door prize, a Henry Military Tribute .22 (free ticket only for the vets) and then the table games and 50-50's.

I didn't win on the main ticket but won on the $2 table raffle. No handguns that I was interested in so I got a nice Henry Standard Lever .22 (that will someday go to the grandson).

Then they had a special $20 raffle package. Bought 1 ticket and danged if I didn't win. Here is what was in the package:

Bottle of Jack Daniels

Bottle of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum

A certificate for a 5 machine gun shooting package (worth about $200-$250) from Washington County Machine Guns

A SIG P238 .380 Auto w/Night Sights in Desert Tan

A SIG 1911 Scorpion w/Night Sights in FDE

A SIG 516 PDW SBR (5.56mm, 7.5" bbl, short stroke piston system) with the Tax stamp already paid.

MSRP for everything above is $4604.00 Realistic selling prices, probably closer to $4000.

Have to go back out on Thursday to pick everything up and to get the BATFE paperwork started for the tax stamp.

Not a bad Saturday.

Wow! Congrats. That's an amazing haul! My main ticket was a dud too but I'm happy to support a group like FOAC. It's too bad most of their events are too far away for the SEPA folks to attend.
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.
Congrats! I seem to win things about every 10 years. Things like that, I at least get the consolation that I'm donating to a good cause.

Got my Form 4 sent to the BATFE yesterday. Now I just have to wait 4-6 months to get the approval and tax stamp and then pick up my SBR at Ace Sporting Goods.

In the mean time, I'll schedule a time to go out to Washington County Guns and Suppressors (WCGS) to use my 5 machine gun shoot certificate.

Well, here's how the handguns shot:

SIG P238, 10 yards, 2 handed hold, S&B 92 gr FMJ, 12 rounds. Sight picture was sights level with bottom of center square. I'll need to try some other ammo to see what it does.

SIG 1911 Scorpion, 15 yards, 2 handed hold, WWB 230 gr FMJ, 24 rounds. Sight picture again was sights level with bottom of center square. 3 rounds at bottom, I knew I did that, got in a hurry. Need to get a bunch more rounds through it.
