FOAC SPRING 2016 Gun Bash
#1
The FOACs Spring 2016 Gun Bash is set.

Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

I will be getting tickets again for those that want them. We can do it by mail if you're not local to me but want tickets. I think you can also buy them on line at the FOAC web site but it may cost a bit more to do it that way.

If you want to reserve a ticket, let me know here either by posting or PM or email me at rlutz730(at)comcast.net that way I know how many tickets to ask them to send to me.

When it gets nearer, I'll post when I actually have the tickets in hand to sell.

I had a good time at the last one, so I'm interested in going again.

It was a very nice setup and well run.

I wish they would throw one that would be a little more convenient for the folks on the right half of the state to attend. Heck, move it to Harrisburg or Happy Valley and a lot more people would make the drive.
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.

I should be getting tickets here real soon. They can be bought at my shop or I can mail them to you. Just contact me if you want to know how to do the mail option.

I agree that it is a bit of a haul (about 2 1/2 - 3 hrs from SC) but I think it's worth it. They run it earlier now (1pm-7pm) so you don't get home real late.

The hall is always filled so I don't know if they would want to "mess with success" by moving it to a new (unknown to them) venue. There would be a lot of work to change (finding an adequate space that is either real cheap or donated, finding a caterer, getting the firearms, etc.). Right now it is a pretty well oiled machine and very few if any glitches happen now. Myself, I would like to see them move it around the state a bit more but the strength in numbers of the FOAC are in that area right now, that's where it started and that is where the vast majority of members are from.

Either way, I'll be there. Look for me near the entrance door at the Veterans Give Away sign up, I take care of that. (FYI, we give away, at no cost, a Henry Veterans Tribute rifle to a lucky veteran).

5 1/2 to 6 hours for me, with no traffic. Enjoy.

Yeah, that's the bad part about it being in the far west of the state. I will however, bring it up at the Spring bash and see what the comments might be, but right now I'd probably have to say don't hold your breath.

I was thinking of an additional event rather than moving the already established Gun Bashes. 12 hours of driving for a 6 hour event makes for a long day.

You know Rik, that might not be a bad suggestion to make. Have 2 more bashes in the center/east part of the state in Winter and Summer, then Spring and Fall have them where they normally are. We're a strong political force in PA and of course can always use the extra money for our 2A causes.

I will bring that up also and see what the feeling are. I know they will be looking for someplace large enough to hold it at a no or very low rental fee, then setting up the caterer (the folks that attend now expect more than just hamburgers and hotdogs Wink ) and then the FFL to handle all the guns. I can help, but I don't have any inventory to speak of and due to past experiences I don't know if I would want Grices involved. However, here in the next month or so we will have a Dunhams opening in the Nittany Mall.

I just received 20 tickets to sell. 8 are already sold. The quicker you buy them the quicker they get sent in. If they receive the stub before Feb 15, you are eligible for an early bird giveaway.

$50 each, you can buy in person at my shop in State College, or by mail. Send a check or MO made out to FOAC (or send cash if you want) to me:
Ron Lutz
P.O. Box 935
Lemont, PA 16851

Send the money and your address/phone/email and I'll get however many tickets sent to you.

For more of what goes on, go here: https://foac-pac.org/Gun-Bash

Thanks,
Ron
