Agreed. However, seeing as to how/why this site started - and the personalities of a lot of the people that moved over - I don't see this place changing for the worst in the near future... but if they do, I am sure plenty of people will let Rocket hear about it...

I think its important that the mods still do their jobs of hopping into threads where appropriate like on Poofa; they served a necessary purpose and they were usually reasonable while maintaining the civility over here. I just don't want to see all the mods here not want to step in to avoid pissing anyone off.

But its off to a good start, and it is well setup. Better than Poofa IMO in terms of today; they have a large archive obviously, but that's something that takes time.

So far, there hasn't been many problems, and where there has been, a simple PM seems to have done the trick, hope it stays that easy so the staff can enjoy this place too Signthankspin

How about just be fucking nice to each other, that better? Whistling Wink or you can grab one of the ones below, they all mean the same thing, there's nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree before things get out of hand.

My vote is for "politeness" because even a crabby old man can be polite without bending to anyone's will. So let's see how that sounds "I agree with the plea for politeness".

Except for the fact that "agree" & "plea" rhyme it sounds good. Undecided

BTW: "agree to disagree" is totally gay (in a PC way not a gay way)

I like respect. Respect comes from character, where "civility" seems contrived....it may be just me.....but that word irks me, maybe because I hear it said with Nancy Pelosi's voice, or maybe because the person we hear it from most frequently preaches at others while being the most uncivil of all. Whatever word you use, this place, will be a better place, if it's practiced.

I refuse to be nice to people if I happen to have gotten sand in my mangina that day.

But I will feel bad about it after I hose it out Confused
