Geissele Trigger question
#1
I have a Colt 6920 that I bought about 1.5 years ago. I'm looking to install a Geissele SSA trigger. I think I remember reading that some (older?) Colt's have a different trigger pin size and they are not compatable with the standard Geissele triggers. Can I safely assume that I'm good to go since my Colt is fairly new? Thanks.

This is a large pin version of the Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) trigger for use in Colt AR rifles manufactured from 1990 to 2009. It is a semi-automatic-only version of Geissele Automatics’s Super Select-Fire trigger

The large pin dimension is 0.169 inches, whereas the standard pin dimension is 0.155 inches.

Yeah, I guess my real question is: Is there an easy way to determine what size pins I have other than taking the trigger out and measuring? I'm not mechanically inclined at all. Putting a lower together would probably be an all day affair. I have a friend lined up to help with the install.

You can easily measure the pin diameters from the outside.......

Good point. I'll try that. Yes, I do realize I'm an idiot, in case anyone is wondering. Thanks.

Edit to add: It looks like 5/32 of an inch so I'm going with the small pin and hope I'm right.
