Gen McChrystal: Serious Action Is Necessary
#1
Looks like McTraitor is itching for "action" on the American gun owner:

Quote:Retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal during a Tuesday broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” said gun control in the U.S. requires “serious action.”

“I spent a career carrying typically either a M16, and later a M4 carbine,” he said.

“And a M4 carbine fires a .223 caliber round, which is 5.56 millimeters, at about 3,000 feet per second. When it hits a human body, the effects are devastating. It’s designed to do that. That’s what our soldiers ought to carry,” he added.

He continued:

I personally don’t think there’s any need for that kind of weaponry on the streets and particularly around the schools in America. I believe that we’ve got to take a serious look — I understand everybody’s desire to have whatever they want — but we have to protect our children and our police and we have to protect our population. And I think we have to take a very mature look at that.

The former Commander of U.S. and NATO Coalition Forces in Afghanistan is, of course, referring to the Newtown, Conn., shooting that killed 26 people, including 20 children.

I think serious action is necessary. Sometimes we talk about very limited actions on the edges, and I just don’t think that’s enough,” he said.

I guess he swore off his oath to defend the Constitution when he left the service. Well, he's retired now... with a fat pension and all the benefits the serfs... I mean taxpaying citizens... can (t) afford. He's welcome to go spend his remaining years in Venezuela, Cuba, or North Korea... where citizens are already "safe". I wonder how many firearms the General has.

Funny the general thinks that way.

It appears just the lowly enlisted grunts think of the CONSTITUTION

Well, thats not good.

And I'd like to add - as law enforcement - that I'm sick and tired of people claiming gun confiscation is for my safety. BS. I'm safer surrounded by armed law abiding ppeople than I am otherwise. Besids, if cops obey the laws and act justly, an armed populace is an asset, not a liability (CA Bank of America shootout comes to mind...)

Cops & former cops like you, active duty, reserve, retired and former military with that same mindset are the reason for oath keepers. I just hope that there are more members of oath keepers than there are twits like McChrystal.

Serious action is necessary. We seriously need to stop giving these fuckheads a podium to spew their anti gun bullshit.

Well, at least he knows enough to take the firearms we own seriously . . . food for thought if he's going to have to think about telling men to go house to house to take them.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

He'd have to come out of retirement first. Assuming it wasn't a forced retirement because of his age.
