Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released... and here is the chart to prove it
The figures reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012 there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures
This means that the ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996

This is why the moonbats call it "man made climate change" now.

Their party was broken up by the facts when they called it global warming, so like typical liberals, they created a name to suit the facts while still making it wrong.

So what does this change? They haven't given up on global warming, but they're already laying the groundwork for regulating CO2 for other reasons: http://www.livescience.com/23903-oysters...idify.html

Environmentalists don't need science to tell them what to think. Man is bad, the USA is bad and capitalism is bad and that's all they need to "know". If they need science to help defend their cause, they will make up whatever data they need to plug into a flawed model to "prove" their case.

Whatever.

Warming, cooling, turning to butter. What difference does it make?

Im actually not sure who to believe on this issue but I do agree with protecting the planet and nature. Do you guys know their is a huge area in the pacific that is reported to be the size of Texas that has millions of rubber Duckies and trash from a Chinese boat incident? I think it is common sense to take care of the place you live. Warming or cooling, man made or natural I dont know but I do believe in leaving room for nature. When I go into the woods I do my best to leave has little of a "foot print" has possible no trash left behind just the same respect I would give to going into your home.

I think you will find very few people that advocate dumping used motor oil down the drain.
I can't think of anyone that wants to intentionally trash the planet.

However, that is not what the looney left is talking about. They want to control every aspect of your life, from the way the paper is made for the toilet paper you use to the amount of water it takes to flush it. They want to control your lighting even though their idea of a good lightbulb contains mercury.

It's not about the planet to them, it's about control.

Protecting it from what?

Human emissions are PART OF NATURE, just as the methane gas released from Cow dung is PART OF NATURE.

There is NOTHING human beings can do to either hurt or help the planet Earth. We are but parasites living on it's surface. It will be here long, long after we are gone

I understand and Agree. I still cant figure out how mercury bulbs are better for the environment.

Imagine a termite colony arguing about global warming when constructing their termite mound, and half of them saying, "We have to protect the planet."

That is how utterly ridiculous it is when people say they have to protect the planet. Our actions should protect our SPECIES, the planet is not going anywhere.
