Glock 37
#1
So someone gave us as a gift a used Glock 37 that uses the .45 GAP ammo but we only have one box of ammo and that ammo is sooooo expensive! We were told nobody will buy it off us, either. Anybody know people who like this type of gun or ammo???

The only local police department (that I know of) that used .45 GAP pistols was the PA State Police. However, they are switching back to the .45acp (more specifically, the Sig 227). I think you're pretty much S.O.L., but you could try your luck on gunbroker. I know somebody on PAFOA is trying to sell a Glock in .45 GAP too and keeps bumping it. I also just checked and no conversion barrel is available for the Glock 37 either.

Yeah they told us at Tanners you can't get anyone to buy it. Basically useless hunk of metal unless you can afford the ammo. Bleh.

Guns like that are a reloaders dream. You can pick up a quality gun in an oddball caliber, scrounge a little brass and your your off shooting inexpensive ammo out of a inexpensive gun.

Sounds like heaven... except for the Glock part. Big Grin
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.

I bet if you put it on GunBroker for a reasonable price it would sell.

the best guns are the ones you don't have to pay for. Your only problem would be feeding it, really. The bigger chain stores, like Gander Mountain, usually have GAP in stock. If you can't find any, at worst, you have a backup gun. I'd keep it, and assign it to nightstand duty.

Interesting! Thanks for the link. Would need mags too....of course by that time I guess I could have bought like 12 boxes of ammo....

Good to know in case the ammo completely goes off the market.

I've had the itch for a 45 GAP. If you're thinking of selling it, send me a note.
