Wait a dang minute here. I distinctly remember someone in another place stating very clearly that GM had paid back all their money and they were no longer under government control. You mean to tell me that wasn't true?

The other GM thread got crushed when I was typing this, so here it is from there....

I try not to be someone who holds grudges too much, but I will say this: It will be a LONG time before I purchase another new GM vehicle unless it's a an absolute steal.

I would consider buying a used GM from a used car lot that is not a GM lot. I like GM vehicles, so I feel that's the way I can still have a GM without money going directly to them.

I will not under any circumstances buy a new GM vehicle.

I've had bad luck with GM the past few vehicles we've purchased, with the exception of our Saturn Vue. I'd buy another one of those in a heartbeat, that was great little car.

But now, we're back to being a "ford" family and we're OK with that Wink

Oh, and I won't buy anything new anymore, I can admit that I don't make enough money to be OK with the 5k depreciation for having the privilege of being the first one to 'pop the cherry' of the vehicle by getting my sticky, milky white latte foam on the cup holder.

GM can suck it.
They made the deal with the devil now they can suffer with that decision. Personally I hope they go belly up.
