Got Written Up At Work...
#1
...for having a loose round for a gun I don't even own anymore, LOL.

I have a shoulder bag that sees duty as a range bag, a diaper bag, a day bag, etcetera. I use it to carry my work supplies, as well. Well, last night, my boss comes to me, holding a single .25ACP round. "Is this yours?"

I looked surprised, because I was. I recently sold Baby Browning clone, a PSP, to a buddy, and I thought all the ammo I had for it, too. "Gotta be mine. Must've fallen our of my bag. Hmm." I didn't see the need for concern, myself. She handed it over to me, and asked that I retain from bringing any more ammo to work.

An hour later, she approached me again. "We have a problem. Someone contacted the regional manager about it. Do you have a gun on you now?"

"No." It was true. I leave mine in my truck.

"Well, bring your bag to the office. We need to wait for him to call back."

"At 3AM?"

She shrugged. "Sorry. It shouldn't be a big deal; someone turned it into one."

After a few phone calls, and a bit of explaining on my part, I was given a written warning.

I have a good idea. He's one of this NRA sportsmen who thinks the 2A s for hunting, but doesn't see why anyone would need an AR15 or AK47 for home defense
Just another fudd douchebag. He used the forklift I had earlier.

Is there a written policy stating no ammunition? It seems like a very specific thing to be written up for.

I think that is BS. I wouldn't consider ammunition the same as a weapon. I am assuming that weapons aren't allowed at your place of employment since you don't carry while working.

When I told someone that my brother also has firearms, the first thing the guy said was, "Does he hunt?" According to some people, there is a certain status afforded to you if you do hunt. Other than that, there is no essential need to own firearms. However, I wonder how many of them also own a handgun. Dodgy

There's no specific rule regarding weapons in the building. They filed it under a 'safety' issue, or something. Whatever. I'm not complaining about he non-rule, as much as I'm embarrassed for the idiot who went above my boss's head to make an issue out of something that shouldn't have been. Now he has to deal with her, LOL.

I don't carry at work to avoid issues like this. I'm not overly popular in the first place; my first month, someone stuck a packing label with the word 'wetback' scrawled across it on my locker, and another one saying 'spic' on my lunchbag. LMAO. The guy was caught by our security cameras, and fired, but he was popular among more than a few of the other guys. In their mind, I got a good buddy fired, not a bigoted fuckstain. With that in mind, I'm not giving anyone any 'ammo' to use against me

Where and how did she obtain the 1 round?

Could it really have came from your bag? Or was it planted in your work area as an attempt to get you fired?

I got bitch at because someone left a .40 Hydroshok on my workbench. I had no friggin clue where it came from(until later), but I had to be reminded of the no guns in the building policy, which I already adhere to. Turns out one of the guys from the office came back to ask me if Hydroshoks were a good self defense round but I wasn't at my work station so he left it there while he took a phone call. Bat Rastard never did admit it was his. I didnt get in any trouble beyond the "dude WTF speech".
