Gun Rights Haters: Victims or Aggressors?

Now these perpetual “victims” want to learn about “Powerfully Peaceful Action in the Face of Armed and Aggressive Opposition”. Why do they say they need to do this? Because, according to them, “Almost every group in the gun sense movement has – at some time in the last several years – been confronted by armed and/or aggressive counter demonstrators at one of our public actions.” Though as you can see at the link above no examples of any aggressive behavior towards them are given. Of course, we often counter-demonstrate their events armed but that's not aggression as the zero body count and zero hospitalization rate among attendees show. If being around guns frightens them there is a name for that, hoplophobia. Perhaps a psychiatrist would be more helpful to them than a workshop.

Victims of their own paranoia. Uninformed naive morons that have never left their protected little world. I bet very few have worked in some of the rougher areas of Phila. Trenton or Camden like so many of us have.

Even worse than a US city is Caracas, Venezuela. They don't have anywhere near the number of guns that we have. It was bad enough in the '90s when I lived there. They banned guns in '12. Now they have the 2nd highest murder rate in the world. Obviously, banning guns works so well.....Shrug

Philly has nothing on Chicago. Back in June I was speaking to Lt. Cmdr. in the Navy Nurse Corp. He'd been awarded some prestigious medal during his last deployment to Afghanistan, and my wife worked with him at both Portsmouth, VA and Naval Station Great Lakes. Anyways, at NSGL there is a voluntary 30 day temporary assignment to Stroger Hospital, working the graveyard shift in the ER, in Chicago's near west side that nurses and corpsmen can do. This Lt. Cmdr. had just finished his 30 days, and something he said to me absolutely shocked me. He kept track of the total number of patients he saw in during the entire 7 months of his last deployment and compared that to the total number of patients he treated in Chicago in 30 days with only gunshot wounds. The number for 7 months in Afghanistan will equal x. The number is Chicago is exactly x/2. Given that x was achieved in 7 months, and x/2 was achieved in 1 month, we deduced that you are more than 3.5 times more likely to be shot in Chicago than an active combat war zone in the middle east. Let's just say that when my wife volunteered for the same duty several months later I highly encouraged her to exploit a loophole in Illinois' FOID Card Act which permits "container transport", which is exempt from their GFZ requirements because it's not concealed carry.

It works very well when your goal isn't protecting people, but instead preserving your dictatorial regime at any cost and make sure the government's interests come before those of the people at all times.
