Gun under pillow ND, wife shot in face
#1
Anyone think its a good idea to keep a loaded firearm under their pillow? I think it's pretty stupid, for obvious reasons. I'm sure this CHESCO guy's wife (or weirdly, ex-wife) would agree...

Does that particular gun have a hair trigger??? I would never put one under my pillow....but still, the Rugers I have would not "go off" even if it WAS under a pillow...

Negligent discharge...? Umm no. I'm gonna go with attempted murder.

Thumb safety off, grip safety disengaged, finger pulling the trigger???

DAFUQ?!?!

That kind of stupidity deserves jail time. Angry

I know Kimber are a quality line of 1911 but not familiar with specs. I do know I'm a restless sleeper and would never trust my sleepy self with a gun under the pillow.

Just sitting under the pillow I would say NO. But if it was in say your IWB soft holster I wouldn't see a problem in it. He could always invest in a night stand Big Grin... When I stay the night at my friends house (quite often) I keep my Glock wedged in the couch cousin where I sleep. I don't keep one in the chamber though. I also don't like doing it because dog hair like to get all up in between the slide and the frame.

Not something I will be trying out any time soon. The nightstand lockbox (kids) is good enough for me.
