Gunfire Erupts Inside West Philly Barber Shop

Quote:Police say a man who was legally carrying a gun may have saved the lives of several people in a West Philadelphia barbershop.

It happened Sunday afternoon in the 600 block of North Preston Street. Police say a customer and barber began arguing when the customer pulled out a gun and opened fire with up to ten people inside the shop.

As that was happening, another customer, with a permit to carry, was entering the barbershop saw what was happening and shot the gunman.

“They was arguing, and they was taking it too far, and the barber said chill out, so when i was watching TV in the barbershop, I heard gunshots, so I ducked and I ran” Yusaf Mack, a witness said.

“It coulda been a lot worse if it wasn't for this guy who responded and basically saved a lot of people in there,” Philadelphia Police Capt. Frank Llewellyn

Gotta question this one. Everyone knows guns are illegal in Philly, as well as, you can't carry there.

That area is proving to be the bane of Moms Demand Action.

If you map it using Mercy Fitzgerald as a starting point, and the address of the barbershop as the end point you get a relatively straight shot with Cobbs Creek near the middle.

3 legitimate self defense shootings reported in the last 8 months within 5 miles of each other. 3 times where a good guy with a gun stopped what legitimately could have been a tragedy. If the antis would open their eyes the proof is there. Citizens carrying do make a difference. Bad people will try to hurt you. It is the responsibility of good people to protect themselves. The proof is there, it does work.

You're trying to apply logic to a group that will only deny said logic more strenuously. Whenever something doesn't fit within their belief, rhetoric, or understanding it will be summarily discounted and ignored.
