H.R. 5103 Gun Violence Prevention and Safe Communities Act of 2018
And here is another one.  The general stink of the bill is it will increase the excise tax on firearms, and lower frame or receivers for semiautomatic pistol, rifle, or shotguns to 20% and shells and cartridges to 50%.

All to create funding or additional funding for community-oriented policing services grants for the hiring or rehiring of additional career law enforcement officers and states using funds for school resources officers (35%), Project Safe Neighborhoods (35%), CDC research on gun violence and its prevention (10%), National Criminal History Improvement Program (5%), NICS Act Record Improvement program (5%), Community-Based Violence Prevention Field-Initiated Research and Evaluation Program (5%), funds available for the Secretary of Education to provide directed grants and technical assistance o schools eligible for receiving grants (5%).

In other words, they want to generate additional tax revenue for these programs off the backs of law abiding gun owners to make us "pay" for the atrocities done by mass shooters and our audacity to fight for our rights.

Of course the sponsor is an Illinois Librocrat.

Here is the link to the bill:
