Harrisburg & Palmyra Walmarts Well Stocked
#1
I was in Harrisburg Walmart twice over the past weekend and acquired 6 boxes of 7.62x39 (3 at a time of course). The shelves were stocked pretty damn good with a wide assortment. Over the course of a weekend they still had a good amount of the same stock. I was surprised to see that much handgun ammo too.

Palmyra Walmart has been pretty well stocked too. Been stopping in once a week to see what they have and I've been greeted with a decently full cabinet each time.

Thought I'd share, hope this helps some of you.

The Walmart that I frequent here in York has been very well stocked for the past year at least, provided you were looking for shotgun shells and certain rifle rounds.
It appears they have even pulled the shelf tags for all pistol rounds and I haven't seen any .22 at all for almost 2 years.

How are your stores looking on .380, 9mm, .40, and .45? How about 5.56..?

No 9mm in the past few weeks, but a few boxes of .40. .5 seems to pop up every other week or so. There's always more hollow points then there is target rounds. I honestly haven't seen any 5.56 or .223, but mainly because I don't look for them. Shotgun shells seem to be VERY well stocked. More than I've seen in a year.

And .22, well that's something I haven't seen at my Walmarts in a LONG time.

Thanks for the tip! I'll stop in and check them out one of these days after work.
(Telling me that there's ammo available is about the only way to get me into a WalMart).

The last time I was there someone took my picture and it ended up on the Internet in a long list of other regular people shopping at Wal-Mart. WTF? Shrug

I've found 9,40, 45 and .556 on the internet sites at fairly descent prices . Around 40 cents a round for .556 shipped is about the best so far.

No, I'm not quite that gray and not nearly that tall.
I wish I wouldn't have mentioned it, it's really a pretty embarrassing picture.
(Damn people who think it's good sport to make fun of people who shop at Wal-Mart).

That's not too far from me, just a few miles west as a matter of fact.
Does Bella do well riding in a car? (Or Silverado, as the case may be?) I'd love to meet that dog.

I was in Palmyra Walmart the other day and decided to head back to the ammo cabinet... there was a sign taped to it that states that no ammo will be sold and that they do not have access to the cabinet. I looked at the cabinets and saw what appeared to be 2 new locks. A few weeks back one of the workers broke one of the locks and they would not allow anyone to attempt access. It was like that for over a week. This is obviously a different scenario.

I put it out of my mind until I spoke with a coworker today about that same sign. He was shopping and attempted to get ammo. He asked the guy at the counter why they won't open the cabinet... his reply was "I'm not allowed to say". Seriously? There is a FULLY stocked cabinet staring you in the face and you can't even purchase any of it. Nice.

We can speculate all we want as to why, but I'd love to know exactly what the hell is going on. This sign has been on long enough to generate a buzz about it from the locals. Anyone have any info on this?

On a good note: Harrisburg Walmart is well stocked and even has ammo cans of .223 for anyone interested.
