At least I hope it will.

In Harrisburg? It's more apt to get him reelected. That city is almost as Dem as Philly.

The mayor of Harrisburg is a chick.

Yes, the Harrisburg mayor is up for election. And SHE is a frigging idiot who has almost bankrupted the city.

Plus, she's going to be running against OTHER democrats who want to unseat her in the primaries.

Being that many members of that forum are from overseas it is interesting to see some of the vuewpoints and raionales for being anti-gun these people throw out there.

You want to stir them up, ask them why they don't simply migrate directly to Free BSD instead of using Apple's proprietary GUI Wink

It's interesting to hear their views but, actually, not it isn't. I don't give a shit how some European, Asian, Middle Eastern, Australian, South American, Canadian or anyone else thinks we should run our country. They obsess over what we do more than we give two shits about how they run thiers, and it pisses them off because they think they're "enlightened" ones of the world when in essence they're more fucked in the head than we'll ever be.

You're my hero, I piss them off by telling them how irrelevant their nation/opinions are. Tongue

The Harrisburg Mayor's office issued this statement about the canceling of the ESOS:

"It is unfortunate that Reed Exhibitions of Norwalk, Conn., has made the business decision to postpone the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show scheduled for the City of Harrisburg in February.

"It is also unfortunate that legal gun owners and the many families who have enjoyed a long tradition of hunting in the beautiful rural environment around the region will be deprived of this major event because of a controversy caused by firearms manufacturers who profit from the sale of weapons designed for the mass killing of human beings.

"Many regional arms and outdoor vendors and related services have been hurt by the postponement as well. This kind of conflict within the firearms community is the result of years of polarization between the majority American sportsmen and hunters who exercise their constitutional right to bear arms and at the same time favor reasonable illegal gun controls, and a minority of NRA members who refuse to recognize the very real problem of illegal military style weaponry and the mass havoc such weapons facilitate."

It's all part of the plan. Demonize the opposition and promote division in the ranks. The interesting part is that many of the legal gun owners referenced here are also part of the group that called for a boycott, but it will be difficult to get the antis to wrap their heads around that one.

I believe that has come to be known as "an inconvenient truth."

I enjoy every minute of it.

We all know the lies which exist within these "official statements".

What they do not want you to know/remember is that:

-MANY non-firearms companies boycotted as well.
-For many of these Companies who WILLINGLY sacrificed their income from this show to support the 2A...it is/was their "Christmas" which enables them to be in the "Black" for the year.
-Many of the small Companies who joined MAY (as one company stated) not be able to stay in business with the loss of this income.

And finally, all (hopefully) of these Companies who boycotted believe that protecting their/our 2A rights is a fight worth having EVEN THOUGH it potentially cost them "treasure" in the skirmish.
