My polling place had the usual R dude giving out flyers, no longer the R stronghold it once was the past few elections have had a few D's handing out flyers as well, no UN, no independents, no NBP, just folks wanting to cast their vote.

UN observers are only supposed to be in Harrisburg.

DoJ is supposed to have observers in Allegheny, Chester, Delaware and Lehigh Counties and the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania;

As far as my polling place was concerned, things were very quite.

Last time, my wife and I and go get through a sea of people to vote and were accosted by liberals trying to get us to vote for their "perfect" candidate.

This year... no one was around other than the polling staff. I won't complain.

I think I saw someone from the UFP in Doylestown.

Appeared to be Vulcan. I hope he wasn't Romulan.

Once I put my cap with the tinfoil in it back on, he disappeared.

I was being silly, obviously. The UN observes elections in all of its member nations, a move that the US has been pretty strongly behind. So we need to eat our own dog-food as it were. Considering the various accusations of poll intimidation, etc., it's not a bad idea. But even more so, it's an opportunity to have observers from elsewhere who'll be working elsewhere how to do an election right. Heaven forbid we should ever get to the point where we'd need outside help to keep our elections free and fair.
