Two more bills of interest have been offered in the General Assembly:

Quote:Regular Session 2013-2014
House Bill 287

Short Title: An Act amending Titles 18 (Crimes and Offenses) and 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, further providing for persons not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer firearms; and, in sentencing, further providing for sentences for second and subsequent offenses.
Prime Sponsor: Representative STEPHENS
Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, Jan. 24, 2013 [House]
Memo: Gun Violence – Mandatory Sentences for Felons Possessing Firearms

See: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/...type=B&BN=0287

Quote:Regular Session 2013-2014
House Bill 335

Short Title: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in firearms and other dangerous articles, further providing for licenses and for sale or transfer of firearms.
Prime Sponsor: Representative THOMAS
Last Action: Referred to JUDICIARY, Jan. 24, 2013 [House]
Memo: Firearms and Mental Illness (Formerly HB 2670 of the 2011-2012 Legislative Session)

See: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/...type=B&BN=0335

Special Note: The bill requires the certification of a firearms purchaser or for the issue of LTCF that he is not undergoing some or any sort of psych treatment. Be advised, there is no discussion of adjudication or any other due process and no relief from the requirement if you have been treated and cleared! Very onerous! Must I say this should be opposed?

Am I imagining things?

I don't see anything particularly agregious in HB 287.

A gun rack in a pick-up is not for holding guns. Its a place for women to hold on to. Smile
