HB921 Could Be Considered By Judiciary Committee Soon - Time To Act
#1
I have it on highly reliable information from Harrisburg that HB921, the PICS elimination bill, could be considered by the House Judiciary Committee very, very soon.

We need this one to get out of committee and onto the floor folks!

Get going with phone calls, emails and letters to put the pressure on them. Even if your rep is a sponsor let them know we are still behind this one.

Is this the bill that does away with PICS in favor of NICS.

Yea, thanks but no thanks.

The last firearm I purchased, the FFL used the new online PICs check. It took 5 seconds to go from hitting submit to approved. I like PICs.

And I suppose you like wasting 8 million dollars a year on PICS, whereas NICS is already paid for?

And you like PSP having their own private illegal database of your guns?

Still not convinced.

I'd support a bill doing away with NICS, this bill is just a candy coated turd.

I like getting rid of Pa's way of forming an illegal database. So I'm for this. I'm very much for a group making sure the DOJ executes the violation of PA storing gun purchase information outside of the legal time frame.

Still compromising. Get rid of PICS and get rid of the ROS database but give the Feds the ultimate control? We know how well they handle everything else.

Sounds like some here who were ready to compromise on gun control with universal background checks and national reciprocity.

NO FUCKING COMPROMISES!!!

Where do you think PICS gets most of their information from?

It's called NICS

And? Please explain why I or anyone else should support this bill?

Seriously?

Do you not get that the feds already 'control' the information and pass it down to PSP?

Do you not get that PSP then adds in all sorts of BS of their own that can get someone flagged?

Do you not get that this state wastes 8 million a year on something that is not needed (100 million since 1998)

Almost every other state in the union uses NICS exclusively, what we have in PA is two layers of checks, the feds and then PSP ... completely unneeded and wasteful.
