Help me pick a new CC gun

- No 9mm (yeah, I KNOW... *sigh*)
- Not a fan of ultralight mini revolvers, you can drop the weight on a revolver but not its width, so I'm looking for slim
- Weight is not a problem
- I prefer inside waist carry, 2-3 o' clock position, but I might also switch to 4.
- I'll consider pocket carry an option, but I'm a creature of the city and of tech things--so both my pockets tend to have things in them (earbuds, subway tokens, house keys).
- Absolutely NO to striker fire.

Kimber Solo seems to be pushing up the ladder but I don't like 9mm so I'd prefer something else (.45, etc). I want to test one out though before I commit. Better options out there? I'm looking for something that has great accuracy, I don't care about recoil/weight, I do care about cartridge type/power/grain and I just cannot deal with width, sharp edges and bulges. Preferably like to install my own sticky grips to help prevent unwanted moving/shifting.

It's winter so I can pocket carry in the coat but summer's coming, which means shitty in-waist holsters.
Wait, aren't the Kimber Solos all in 9mm? That kinda breaks rule #1. (edit: just noticed that you said that. Comprehension fail.)

Anyhow, since you're looking for recommendations I'll suggest a gun I've been thinking about for cold weather carry. The CZ P-06 is in 40 S&W and holds 10 rounds (it's the P-01 in .40 basically) and will save you a lot of money over the Kimber. My carry guns take a beating so I tend not to carry anything too expensive.

Here's the specs:

Weight: 1.820 lbs
Overall Length: 7.200 in
Barrel Length: 3.880 in
Height: 5.310 in
Width: 1.380 in
Ammunition, it's the new lead bullion. Buy it cheap and stack it deep.
The other day I pawed up a Glock 29 because I'm looking for a 10mm carry...the crazy thing is I actually thought it might not be a bad carry gun. Confused

That would make a first Glock for me! (never thought I'd see the day)

1) If I wasn't saving up for a lever rifle, my hours weren't cut in February from 40 to 32/week, and I didn't have to pay my car insurance next week (I pay 6 months at a time), then I'd be all over this Smith and Wesson 4566

2) RIA 1911 Officers .45acp

3) Citadel 1911 Compact

4) RIA 1911 Tactical CS

5) CZ P06

6) EAA .40 polymer pistol

7) EAA .45 polymer pistol

8) EAA .40 steel pistol

9) Beretta 96A1

10) Beretta PX4 subcompact

11) Beretta PX4 compact

12) Remington R51 (when it comes out in .40 and/or .45)

13) Sig 220 Compact

14) Sig 2022 .40

Any Kimber ultra series.

Big Grin

C'mon, you know teh gays love shopping.
BTW thanks for the suggestions so far. I forgot that .40 would be an option here. The EAA .40 and P06 are both catching my eye.

*rubbing eyes*... am I seeing a rail on this little thing or is that decoration?
Why no 9mm? Not wanting to start a 'thing', just curious.

What rounds are in/out then? Is it *just* 9mm you don't want, or does the gun need to be a .40 or .45?
