Hillary Lost!
#1
I'm surprised that no one has come back to start this thread.

Can't we just take a few minutes to breathe, and thank the Lord that Hillary will not be president?

Sure, we could have selected a better nominee, but, with the Scalia opening, Ginsburg, Breyer, and Kennedy on their last legs, and a really good chance that some very serious cases are likely going to appear before the court, I can't help but feel better about the future resident of the White House making those nominations and providing some protection for the 2nd Amendment for the next couple of decades.

Love him, or hate him, he's still better than Hillary!!!

Not only did clinton lose, obama lost as well. In the end that's what mattered to me in the voting booth. Now, let's keep up the momentum! We may never have a better chance to reverse this ship than we do now and in the next two years.

Now I guess we'll see if he's anywhere close to what he claimed he was.

I'm happy he won, so maybe the country has a chance. At best, he delayed what the Democrats want to do but I'm hoping he will be better than that. Time will tell whether he is a man of action or if he is just full of hot air.

Of course, a lot will depend on what Congress does as well. No more excuses. They have both Houses and the White House. if they can't get anything done or won't get anything done' they no one to blame but themselves.

I am never one to believe much of what a politician says or believe every campaign promise but I think this time may be slightly different for a President Trump. He has a lot more on the line than any other candidate than I'm aware of. As a business man, he just lost probably most of his liberal leaning business, I think it's in his best interest financially to not piss off the remaining customer base by turning on those who voted for him. This is why I think he may follow through with more of the plans he had during the campaign than candidates past. Worst case, he's not obama or clinton.

That's my take. We need to keep the pressure on! If we fail to make headway this time we won't ever have another chance to save this country. The left will take a failed Trump presidency and use it against us forever. Let's keep up the fight!!!

I don't even bother to fantasize about "reversing" the ship. I'm just glad we might have a chance to slow the rate of sinking. If Trump will just nominate the justices he suggested he would, I don't really care if he's successful at implementing most of the rest of his plans. It's not going to be easy to push his SCOTUS nominations through the Senate, given the slight Republican majority, and the significant population of RINOs in the Senate, so we may end up seeing someone less than ideal eventually confirmed. Regardless, anyone Trump nominates is likely to be a vast improvement (for the future of the 2nd Amendment) than everyone Hillary would nominate, and that was my primary motivation in voting for the Republican candidate.

Here's hoping that we get a couple more gun rights cases before the court, after we get a couple of new right-leaning justices ensconced.

The Republicans held a similar majority in the House and Senate when G. W. Bush was president, and managed to do very little that could be considered worthwhile, as far as firearms rights are concerned. I'm hoping that the current administration's repeated attacks on the 2nd Amendment have provided some motivation to Congress to lock down the individual right described in Heller via legislation that affirms that right across the entire nation. Anything else he manages to get done to roll back Obamacare, protect traditional marriage, curtail illegal immigration, improve trade agreements, and fight the war on terror will be icing on the cake.

I don't believe a single thing he's said during his entire campaign, except for the insults he hurled at everyone.

I'll just say that I'm happy that Hillary lost and leave it at that.
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it.

The progressive left is showing its true colors, refusing to accept the results. This from a candidate who didn't even come out to speak to her supporters. That should speak volumes about her and the progressives overall
