Home Invasion in Central PA, 4 Family Members Dead
#1
What an insane story this is, and to think, the ol'man defended himself with a .22 on top of it.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/09/30/4-p...-gunfight/

Quote:A two-decade family feud came to a violent end when a man shot dead the two home invaders that killed his wife and son, not knowing the assailants included his long-estranged daughter, authorities said Sunday.

Though the investigation of Friday's shootings continues, authorities said it appears Josephine and Jeffrey Ruckinger planned to murder her family at their rural central Pennsylvania home -- but it remains unclear what exactly led to the deadly confrontation.

This whole story is horrifying. This man lost his whole family in one stroke. My god...I wanna cry for him.

I don't know if I'd allow myself to continue after something like. How can you?

My thoughts exactly. I can't imagine what he is going through right now. What a horrible turn of events he had.

If guns were banned at least the murderous home invaders would still be alive.

It does show a. .22 can be an effective home defense caliber if you can hit what you're aiming at.

Good thing the dad apparently didn't recognize his daughter. If he had he might've hesitated, and then we would've had another shooting victim and a house fire.

This is why I keep my MKIII loaded, sure is better than throwing it if it came down to needing it for some reason. He even used a .22 revolver at that.

Goes to show, it's not the equipment one selects (jam-o-matics aside), it is how one uses it that matters in a lethal force situation.

Hey, keep it down! Next thing you know the antis will catch wind of this and start saying all we need is a. 22 revolver to defend ourselves!

Spud guns rule. I've made dozens, but not recently.
