Quote:SPRINGFIELD, VA — A paramilitary force was dispatched to a townhouse after a woman reported a domestic dispute between her and her boyfriend. When her boyfriend stubbornly chose to stay inside his home, police shot him and drove an armored truck through his front door

The situation began on August 29th around 2:40 p.m. when John Geer — a 46-year-old kitchen designer and installer — was told by his girlfriend that she had decided to leave him. The couple had two daughters together, ages 13 and 17. Emotionally distraught over the breakup, Geer exacerbated the situation by throwing her belongings onto the lawn of their townhouse.

This led to her calling the police. She informed the dispatcher that he owned a firearm. A SWAT team was sent to the quiet cul-du-sac.....

Geer’s girlfriend and two teenage daughters had already left when the negotiations came to an abrupt conclusion. An officer shot Geer through a screen door as he stood facing outward at them. Geer closed the door and retreated into his house.

Around 4:30 p.m., with Geer sill “barricaded” inside his home, police used their $250,000 armored Lenco Bearcat to drive a long battering ram through the front door. SWAT team members made entry and ultimately found Geer deceased in his home.....

“If he doesn’t have a weapon in his immediate possession, the officer should not have fired,” Don Geer said. “He would have to have turned around, bent over and then picked up the gun to present a threat. It’s pretty hard to say the shooting was justifiable.”

Let the excuses roll.

I didnt read the particulars but I dont like that police departments have armored vehicles AND use them on civilians. I do know that domestic disturbance calls are the most dangerous calls to go on. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Domestic disturbance calls sound like a good enough excuse for an assault vehicle raid to me. Angel

They can't just polish the fenders on 'em all day. They need to be used. Besides, the boys get antsy when they don't have enough dogs to shoot and people to kill.

So his girlfriend was getting a hot beef injection from some new dude, wanted the old dude out of the picture and told him about it, so when he threw her out she called the cops and said he had a gun and then get him shot and killed.

I'd say it worked out for her just like she wanted it to: Murder by cop.

This is the result of training cops to be psuedo-military roid-heads... this Fallujah style horseshit is happening more and more every day. They teach the cops that they're untouchable and invincible, they hand them the newest weapons and tanks, and they push them to be ruthless, revenue-generating, killing machines. If they can't steal your money or beat a homeless guy, they'll shoot at people's dogs and drive through the front of your fucking house. I don't totally blame the cops, after all, they are being brainwashed. But, they need to wake up and realize the power trip isn't worth their humanity.

There's gonna come a time where the people will shoot first to avoid being shot. We do it now with muggers and home-invaders... how long til cops are such a threat that society shoots first?

Haven't seen this story on the boob tube as of yet...

Why doesn't the media want the people to know this shit is going on?

This is the kind of thing that makes me so supportive of the men in blue...

Not ONE officer on that scene had the BALLS to stand up and say "I think we are going a little overboard, here, guys".

But somehow, people keep saying that "it's only a few bad apples spoiling the batch".

Yeah....right... Rolleyes
