Police: Cleaning service worker stole from Lancaster home, maybe others

Quote:Anderson was an employee of a cleaning service for the home and investigators found the stolen jewelry in his possession, Manheim Township Police said.

Anderson is also suspected of committing a string of thefts and burglaries in Lititz, Millersville, and East Hempfield, Manor, and West Lampeter townships, Manor Township Police Chief Todd Graeff said Friday. Charges related to those incidents are expected to be filed next week.

Anderson works for Rainbow Cleaning Service, 2203 Stratford Road, according to Manor Township Police. They suspect he used his access to steal items from multiple homes and businesses.

Manor Township Police have recovered some property from Anderson they believe was stolen, they said. Police request any clients of Rainbow Cleaning Service who have had items stolen to contact their local police department.

The business is not cooperating with the investigation, Graeff said.

I wonder if the company did a background check on this guy before they hired him?

Gee, let's hire a guy that has a long history of burglary and thefts and send him out into people's homes, yeah that'll surely grow our business.

I doubt they're going to have clients in a couple of weeks. They either knowingly hired a criminal to go into people's homes, or they were ignorant enough to not do a background check. I'm for giving people out of jail a job, but there are somethings they just shouldn't be doing. You don't give someone with a record of theft a job guarding money or going into people's homes, you don't give pedophiles a job at a school.

With the statement that the company was NOT cooperating with law enforcement I wonder if it was HIS business, or someone he was in cahoots with.......

Or....taking a little here and there to resell is the goal, the house cleaning was just the excuse to get in the door.
